The Clachnacuddin Trust was formed in February 2008.
It was the brainchild of lifelong Clachnacuddin supporter Charlie Shield who decided to investigate the possibility of the creation of a Clach Supporters Trust to assist the club during its financial problems at the time. Charlie enlisted the support of his wife Louise and they got the project rolling by contacting James Proctor of Supporters Direct.
Encouraged by the information and guidance given to them by Supporters Direct an open meeting was called for all interested parties in the Merkinch Community Hall on the 26th February 2008. Over 60 people attended this historic meeting and it was unanimously agreed that the Clachnacuddin Supporters Trust be formed.
A founding committee was formed and Charlie Shield, Louise Shield, Margaret Mckendrick, Ali Chisholm, Sandra Duncan and Douglas Noble (The Trust's First Director) were elected to form the first ever Clachnacuddin Supporters Trust Board.
Charlie and Louise were subsequently elected as Chairman and Secretary of the Trust respectively. In 2010 the Supporters Trust became more integrated with the Clachnacuddin FC main board with Sandra Duncan (Trust Treasurer of the newly formed Trust) becoming the first Trust Board member to sit on the Clachnacuddin FC main board.
In March 2011 Peter Corbett became Chairman and Jim Oliver Secretary as the club came through the final stages of coming out of Administration.
Since March 2011 the Membership of the Clach Football Trust has risen from just over 200 to almost 400 members.
